CAMPGROUNDS

CampgroundCumberland County is home to five public campgrounds that all receive annual inspections from the Cumberland County Health Department.  The campground inspection program falls under the authority of the State’s Department of Health though it does incorporate many of the programs administered by the State’s Department of Environmental Protection. In New Jersey campgrounds are responsible for providing their customers with the basic essential services that are found in N.J.A.C. 8:22 known as the campground code.  The Cumberland County Health Department is required to inspect the campgrounds for safe and sanitary operations including water, sewer, trash, swimming, vermin etc. If you are interested in opening a campground in Cumberland County or if you have questions about an existing campground, please feel free to contact our offices at 856-327-7602 or at healthadmin@ccdoh.org.
